Tigerfishing

For the fishing adventure of a lifetime, come join us in an exclusive luxury safari lodge on the Zambezi River. A maximum of 20 guests can share this lovely appointed lodge. Each 'room' is a thatched cottage on a raised deck overlooking green lawns and the river. Each has a private deck, en suite bathroom, electric points, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. A central bar, dining and sitting area overlooks the river. There is also a small pool. The standard of meals, equipment and service are exceptional.

FISHING

Guests fish in comfort from 18ft Voyager pontoon boats equipped with a knowledgeable skipper, awnings, bait tanks, radios, cool boxes stocked to their choice, a depth finder, rods reels and bait. They have exclusive access to 45 kms of river and much more if required.

In 1998 we caught some big tigers! The best was 22lbs caught by a novice angler from London! Another Englishman from Lincolnshire averaged 13lbs in early November and landed an 18lbs and 19lbs fish in the same day! Fishing is with live bait. An interesting fact -- it is not unusual to hook crocodiles when live baiting...Fishing for bream, chessa and vundu (giant catfish) can also be fun.

GAME VIEWING

The concession is about 1,500 sq. kms and good Big Game country. From the boats you will spot hippos by the dozen all day long, and crocodile, elephants, lion, waterbuck, impala, buffalo, warthog and even the occasional leopard can often be seen near camp. The bird life is outstanding; from the mighty fish eagle to the colourful colonies of bee-eaters. Day and night game drives inland can be organised by arrangement.
