Sport in Great Britain

Across the UK from Devon to Invernesshire we have a wonderful array of challenging field sports to satisfy the most ardent of sportsmen and women.

Driven grouse shooting

We start off the game season on August the 12th...'The Glorious Twelth'.

Driven grouse shooting is an expensive sport utilising a wild stock of fast-flying, contour-hugging gamebirds. Shooting often takes place in the most spectacular settings -- the beautiful hills and mountains of Northern England and Scotland. Also experience the ptarmigan that lives in the mountain tops, the white grouse of the mists.

Red deer stalking and salmon fishing

The Highlands offer red deer and roe deer stalking.

Duck and goose shooting, mountain hares, pigeon and rabbit shooting, walked up and over pointers can be enjoyed, as can salmon and trout fishing, golf and ogling the historic castles and stately homes.

Both fly like miniature rockets over the guns and shooting takes place right across the country, from the incredibly high bird West Country shoots to the East Anglian Fens and the hills and lowlands of Scotland! Bags of 100 to 1,000 birds a day are achievable and cartridge counts per bird of between 3 and 10 shots per bird! The demanding high bird shoots really do require some serious practise beforehand. Throughout the season on mixed shoots some partridge and duck are liable to be in evidence to liven up the bag! Rough shooting walked up days are available from 150 per gun per day based on 4/6 guns.
