It is worth repeating the obvious to point out the huge impact that the abovementioned sports have on the environment and on the level of employment in the areas where they take place. Without them, thousands of people would be adversely affected, jobs lost, hotels and shops in allied trades would suffer and you, the sportsman would have to take up golf and join the queues on the motorways!

Therefore, look after your sport, protect it and the environment for future generations to enjoy. Join a reputable field sports organisation who will lobby on your behalf. Let your local council know how you feel! Complacency will finish field sports if we do not all run together!
